Tennis - Melba Tennis Club - Affiliate of Tennis ACT

The Melba Tennis Club is a well established family orientated club that has been serving the community of Northern Canberra since September 1976. We are an 8 court complex consisting of 6 synthetic grass courts and 2 classic clay courts, a club house and a practice wall.

We are located at the end of Brownlee Place, Melba, next to the Melba District Oval. See map of club location.

The club facilities may be utilised by members of the club, their guests as well as the general public wishing to hire a court.

The club has a comprehensive tennis coaching program which includes an advanced junior development program as well as individual and group lessons available for adults who wish to improve their stroke technique as well as other aspects of their game.

Term 2, 2012 Junior coaching clinics

The Melba Tennis Club encourages all members of the ACT community who are interested in utilising the courts and facilities to become financial members of the club. Members do not pay court hire fees, excluding light hire, and are entitled to use the courts, clubhouse and facilities at any time.

We actively promote intra-club activities to encourage members to socialise and form a network of contacts within the club. In essence our goal is to actively promote a sense of community within our members.

Playing Pennant provides a great opportunity for people to test their tennis skills in a competitive but social environment as well as a means of meeting other people who enjoy the sport of tennis.

Mixed Social

Come along Wednesday nights 7.30-9.30pm for a night of fun and fitness with mixed social tennis. Members and non-members both welcome. Enjoy coffee and biscuits afterwards.

Ladies Social

Thursday ladies social has continued to provide members and guests with a fun social outlet as well as some good sets of tennis. We welcome all standards and all ages. So come along on Thursdays from 9.00am in summer or 9.30am in winter.
